What could be better after a long day seeing products, learning new skills and speaking to people than a celebratory evening of eating, drinking, laughing and a big dose of entertainment?
Not only does the Open Day coincide with Target's 25th Anniversary as a distributor, it's also our 1st anniversary of being an employee-owned business! So it seems fitting we would want to celebrate with the most important people to us - everyone we work with.
All our partners - our customers, our suppliers and our staff - are all invited to join in this very special evening which will include pre-dinner drinks and socialising, followed by an evening meal and some fantastic entertainment, courtesy of Kirsty's Poptsatic Piano Singalong (more on her below...).
Kicking off the evening after the exhibition closes, we'll be moving to the V-Works suite at The Village Hotel where attendees will get to socialise and network, chat with staff and Target's suppliers and reminisce about the changes in technology that have taken place over the last quarter-century - to prove it, we'll have some classic arcade games for you to play - there may be a 'friendly' competition or two too...
After that, it's your chance to refuel in a relaxed atmosphere at the hot buffet dinner - no table plans, no dress code, we want you to enjoy a relaxed setting to cement those new relationships you've got going. (please note - no dress code means just that: suits, shorts and ballgowns are all permitted/ encouraged!).
And once you're all full and limbered up, we'll have the night's entertainment ready-to-go... 'Human Jukebox' Kirsty Newton is at your mercy... YOU choose the songs, EVERYONE sings along!
With over 400 songs to choose from, Kirsty and her sister, Heather, will be performing as Kirsty's Poptastic Piano Singalong - part karaoke, part Britain's Got Talent (or not), part full-blown party.
You can choose the song you want then sing it yourself, get Kirsty to sing it or get EVERYONE singing along! The chances are everyone's going to be singing along anyway, so there's no pressure to be the next Adele.
Kirsty is a veteran on the live music and comedy circuits and has performed all over the world, entertaining audiences with her unique improvisational musical talents and naturally warm stage presence, working with legends such as The Comedy Store Players, Paul Merton's Impro Chums, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Al Murray, Rich Hall, Arthur Smith, Siskin, festival favourites Massaoke, and dozens more...
Since she was a child, Kirsty’s spectacular party trick was being able to play practically any song by ear, without a rehearsal. If she can hear it in her head, she can translate it into a full backing track for every guest to chime in around the joanna. Now she is joined by her equally talented sister Heather on violin and backing vocals as they wow the crowds with their spontaneous and impressive adaptations of popular songs with no music or safety net - watch them enchant the audience and get everyone to join them in raising the roof to create a party atmosphere in any room.
We'd love for you to join us for the day and evening's activities - spaces for the evening are limited so make sure you Register now!
